Welcome to El Terral. By accessing or purchasing from our website (the “Site”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1) Who we are

El Terral is a small studio producing handmade ceramic pieces in Sweden. You can contact us at hello@elterralkeramik.com.

2) Eligibility

You must be the age of majority in your place of residence (or use the Site under the supervision of a parent/guardian).

3) Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. The version posted on the Site is the one that applies. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the new Terms.

4) Products & Availability

  • All pieces are handmade and hand-decorated. Natural variations in size, color, and finish are normal and part of the character of each item. Photos and dimensions are illustrative only.

  • We may limit quantities, discontinue products, or reject/cancel orders in our sole discretion (e.g., suspected fraud, incorrect pricing, stock issues).

5) Pricing, Taxes & Duties

  • Prices are listed in the currency shown at checkout and may change without notice.

  • Taxes/VAT: Charged where required by law.

  • International orders: The recipient is responsible for any import duties, customs fees, and taxes due on delivery.

6) Orders & Payment

  • By placing an order, you agree to pay the total shown at checkout using an accepted payment method.

  • You will receive an order confirmation email. This email acknowledges receipt of your order, not our acceptance. We accept your order when we dispatch the goods.

  • If we cancel an order after payment (e.g., stock error), we’ll refund you in full.

7) Shipping & Delivery

  • Worldwide shipping available.

  • Dispatch time: typically within 3–5 business days.

  • Transit times are estimates and may vary by destination and customs. We are not responsible for delays outside our control.

  • Local pickup (Kullabygden, Sweden): choose “Pick up” at checkout; we’ll email pickup details.

  • If you need delivery by a specific date, contact us and we’ll do our best to help.

8) Returns, Refunds & Right of Withdrawal

We want you to love your purchase. Please review our Return & Refund Policy (incorporated into these Terms) for full details. Key points:

  • Return window: 14 days from the date you receive the item.

  • Condition: item must be unused, undamaged, and in original packaging.

  • Return shipping: customer is responsible; original shipping fees are non-refundable.

  • Custom or made-to-order pieces: not returnable or exchangeable.

  • Your statutory rights (including the EU right of withdrawal, where applicable) are not affected.

9) Damaged or Incorrect Items

If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, do not discard the packaging and email us within 24 hours with photos of the item and packaging. We’ll arrange a replacement or refund as appropriate.

10) Custom Orders

Custom commissions are produced specifically for you and are final sale. Lead times and specifications will be confirmed before payment.

11) User Content (Reviews, Photos, Messages)

If you submit reviews or other content, you grant El Terral a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display that content on the Site and our social channels. You are responsible for the content you post and must not violate others’ rights or the law.

12) Intellectual Property

All content on the Site—including designs, images, photographs, text, logos, graphics, and layout—is owned by or licensed to El Terral and is protected by intellectual-property laws. You may not use, reproduce, or distribute any content without written permission.

13) Prohibited Uses

You may not use the Site for any unlawful purpose, to solicit others to perform unlawful acts, to violate any international/national regulations, or to interfere with the security or operation of the Site.

14) Third-Party Tools & Links

We may provide access to third-party tools or link to external sites. We are not responsible for third-party content, policies, or practices. Use them at your own risk.

15) Privacy

Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

16) Warranties & Disclaimers

  • Our pieces are food-safe and made with non-toxic clays and glazes; items are dishwasher-safe unless stated otherwise.

  • Otherwise, the Site and products are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all other warranties (express or implied), including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Normal handmade variations are not defects.

17) Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, El Terral will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits/revenue, arising out of your use of the Site or products. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid for the product giving rise to the claim.

18) Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold El Terral harmless from any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your breach of these Terms or misuse of the Site.

19) Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Sweden will have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any non-waivable consumer protections in your country of residence.
